FORMS OF SUPPLY

Strip Glass
Strips are extruded bars of glass which are usually scored
and broken off at 24” to 26” lengths during the manufacturing
process. The thinnest strips are 8 – 10 mm (3/8”). Widths range
from 4” to 13”. Slightly rounded corners are typical with strip
glass, as is a somewhat rippled surface. (Click on image for larger view)

Block Glass
Standard rectangular blocks typically measure about 250mm x 240mm x
150mm (10” x 9 ½” x 6”), although larger and small configurations
are often available. After cooling, blocks usually have rounded
corners and edges with a sunken top which is a natural result of
the cooling process. (Click on image

Square Bars
These are extrusions that are commonly broken off at lengths of
about 24”. Sizes range from 70 mm (2 ¾”) to 110mm (4 ¼”). Square
bars have slightly rounded edges and a rippled surface. (Click on image for larger view)

Gobs
Gobs are hot molded, usually disc-shaped. They typically
range from 1” to 6” in diameter and ¼” to 3” in thickness. Gobs
generally exhibit ripples on the top and edge surfaces and have a
dome-shaped top surface. (Click on

Rods
Standard rods are 30 – 32mm in diameter (1+”) and
approximately one meter (39”) in length. Rods usually exhibit a
rippled surface. (Click on image for
